TWO MILES!

Well, I can't believe I have a full-blown, energetic, hyper, smiley, loving, tantrum-throwing two-year-old! Miles had a great birthday....

Hank and Sally flew in from Dallas for the occasion, which made it even more special. The day started off with us all going to Cars 2 in the morning, which was Miles' first movie in a theater. He loved sitting in the big seats and munching on popcorn.

In the evening, we had a big party planned at a nearby park where Miles could "shoot hoops" and play on the grass and playground. My whole family came, along with Hank and Sally, but before we knew it, we were caught in an out-of-nowhere summer thunderstorm that forced us indoors!

Miles didn't let that ruin his special day. Although he was in the beginning stage of what would soon be a major cold that would wipe us all out, he stayed happy and had an awesome time opening presents and eating cake inside!

When the storm cleared a bit, we went out front and lit some fireworks to celebrate the day. Miles is all about those popper things that you throw on the ground (so was everyone else). We plan to make it a tradition to light fireworks every year on Miles' birthday.

Happy birthday, little Munchkin!

At the park, right before the clouds rolled in! Miles insisted he hold the Cars 2 cake-toppers.

I love this one of my dad and Neil playing cars with Miles on the floor!
